ITP is diagnosed through a combination of patient medical history , physical examination and blood tests.A complete blood count is crucial ,showing a low platelet count with otherwise normal red and white blood cells counts. Additionally, tests like bone marrow examination are used to rule out other causes of low platelets and tests for specific antibodies.
