To diagnose Turner syndrome, the doctor uses a special blood test that looks at chromosomes called a karyotyping test. The condition indicating turner syndrome will only show one X chromosome instead of two X chromosomes with a total of 45 chromosomes instead of 46 chromosomes. Some girls with turner syndrome have two X chromosomes detected, but one chromosome with a missing piece.
