- Rheumatoid nodules: Hard lumps under the skin, usually on hands and elbows.
- Anemia: Low red blood cell counts.
- Neck pain, dry eyes and mouth.
- Inflammation in other areas: This can affect blood vessels, lung tissue, airways, the lining of the lungs, or the heart’s sac.
- Lung disease: RA can cause severe lung scarring and inflammation.
