What Are the Different Types of Anemia?

The different types of anemia are,

Iron Deficiency Anemia: Iron deficiency anemia is a type of anemia that develops when there is not enough iron in the body. So, the red blood cells counts are low. Iron can be low if a person is unable to absorb iron from their food, if they don’t take enough iron rich foods or if they are losing more amount of iron faster from the body than it is replaced.

Pernicious Anemia: Pernicious anemia occurs when the body does not contain enough vitamin B12 or folate.

Hemolytic Anemia: Hemolytic anemia occurs when the red blood cells are destroyed faster than they are made.

Anemia of Chronic Disease: Anemia of chronic disease is a type of anemia that develops in people having conditions that cause inflammation such as infections, autoimmune diseases, various types of arthritis and tumors.
