The disadvantages of heart transplantation are,
- As donor hearts are scarce, there may not be enough donor hearts available to help all the people who need heart transplant.
- As it is an extremely complicated surgery, it can only be done at well equipped hospitals.
- Some people may be too ill to survive with this procedure.
