What Causes Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) In the Bladder?

UTIs in the bladder, or cystitis, are primarily caused by bacteria entering the urinary tract, commonly from the skin or rectal area. Escherichia coli (E. coli) is the most frequent culprit. Factors like sexual activity, poor hygiene, urinary retention, and certain medical conditions can increase the risk of developing a UTI.
