A pet allergy is an allergic reaction triggered by exposure to proteins found in the skin cells, saliva, or urine of animals such as cats, dogs, or rodents. These proteins, known as allergens, can cause symptoms such as sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, itchy or watery eyes, coughing, wheezing, or skin rashes in susceptible individuals.
