Breast cancer happens when abnormal cells in the breast start growing uncontrollably and form tumors. If not treated, these tumors can spread to other parts of the body and become life-threatening. Breast cancer usually starts in the milk ducts or milk-producing lobules and can spread to nearby tissues or lymph nodes.
