Who can be a bone donor?

The rules vary depending on the bone bank and location, but generally:

  • The person needs to be between 18 and 60 (ish).

  • They should be in good health overall.

  • If the person passed away from a non-contagious illness or injury, their bones might be eligible for donation.

  • An individual (or their family has passed) will need to consent to the donation.
