The risk factors for developing sudden cardiac arrest are when a person
- Have coronary artery disease (CAD).
- Has a high age.
- Have other conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart failure or chronic kidney failure.
- Have a previous history of arrhythmias.
- Have a family history of SCA or inherited disorders that cause arrhythmia.
- Have a problem with drug or alcohol use.
- Have had a previous history of heart attack or heart failure.
